Mom Money-Saving Tip 74

Don’t own a cooling rack or need more than one? An oven rack can substitute for a cooling rack--as long as you don’t take it out of a hot oven and burn yourself. Remove the rack when it is cold and set it on a counter until needed.

To me, becoming a food expert meant spending lots of time in the kitchen getting meals ready for my friends and family. When my children were small, I had the time to experiment. Back then I was an American living in London. I worked part-time as a journalist interviewing celebrities. We didn't have a lot of extra cash to eat out.
